Located in the Tarentaire area of the Savoie region, Courchevel station is amongst one of the most known and prestigious stations in the world and for a long time was considered to be the LA destination for stars and celebrities. It has since then become a destination for the whole public. Also known as the Moriond, Courchevel 1650 along with the five other villages of Saint Bon Tarentaise, Le Praz, Courchevel 1300 and Courchevel 1550 and finally Courchevel 1850 make up Courchevel station. Courchevel, linked to Méribel, Val Thorens and the Ménuires stations form the world’s biggest ski domain: the Trois Vallées. The station remains above all one of the best spots for those who love the thrills and adrenaline rush of winter sports. Its most famous slopes include: the Roches Grises which provides access to Méribel station, leaving from the Creux Noirs at 2700 meters in altitude; the Cospillot and Bellecôte which are known for their peaceful aspect as they run along the chalets and through the forest; the Jean Blanc which is ideal for high speed skiing as it was once used for the skiing World Cup; the Combe de la Saulire which is a slope for expert skiers and has been used for Super Giant skiing competitions; and last but not least, the Grand Couloir slope which is dedicated to freeride.
